She wears a butterfly on her wrist
but she might as well cut it's head off she's holding out for weapons to kill the ghosts inside or at least kill the thoughts she has of killing her mind she says "I love you" with her hands she says I hate you with her eyes there's a pretty girl somewhere with a pretty name but I could never let you know how much this means I swear we'll end this war, because we both know it wasnt worth fighting for -"A Cross and a Girl Named Blessed", Evans Blue My entry for the "Expressions" contest: [link] I was listening to this song by Evans Blue (lyrics above) and got an idea for a picture, modeled by the lovely ~Amber13. My concept was to have a girl in an evening dress sitting and staring off apathetically into the distance, with an interesting, somewhat symmetrical background. While the symmetrical wasn't precisely achieved, I do feel her expression fits the lyrics as well as the overall atmosphere. Expression: Apathy and Deception Let's see... To take the picture, I turned most of the lights in the room off except for one small lamp. The couch and wall are both of my own room. The flash on the camera was set for capturing pictures at night and created an interesting glow effect on her dress and the fabric, which I enhanced slightly for more impact with the burn and dodge tools. I edited out a slight glare on the wall from the camera with the clone tool. To finalize, I darkened the corners of the picture slightly with the burn tool to draw more attention to the figure. The photo was resized and a border was added. (all above done on Paint Shop Pro 10) Camera details may be found to your right. :3 Comments
